Locally Sourced Maple Syrup

Sapling

For our Sapling line, we source maple syrup from local farms who boil the syrup down in classic wood fired evaporators, as well as raw honey from a local apiary.

Sapling Maple Liqueur

Our flagship product is made with locally-sourced Grade A maple syrup, This liqueur is aged for one year in charred American Oak barrels for one year yielding a rich and refined flavor that only 100% pure Vermont maple syrup can deliver.

It is great alone, as a sweet mixer in craft cocktails, and as a unique substitute for any sweetened liqueur, such as sweet vermouth, Triple Sec, or Amaretto. It is also great wherever maple syrup goes, such as on pancakes, on coffee, or over ice cream.

70 Proof/35% Alcohol; 33% Maple Syrup

Sapling Maple Bourbon

Our Sapling Maple Bourbon is our top selling product and is made with pure Vermont maple syrup and American bourbon. It is aged in charred American Oak barrels for a year and a half before blending with locally-sourced Grade A maple syrup. Once blended, it is then aged for one more year, producing a charred oak flavor with a rice maple amber color.

The maple compliments the aged bourbon flavors and is a great introduction to bouron, as the maple takes some of the whiskey “heat” away, leaving a sweet and smooth taste.

 70 Proof/35% Alcohol; 12% Maple Syrup

Sapling Double Barrel Maple Bourbon

Our Double Barrel Maple Bourbon was designed for a more distinct palate. This longer, more elaborate double-aged process consists of combining our Sapling Maple Bourbon with a barrel of three-year-aged straight American Bourbon. The result is a higher-proof, bourbon-forward experience with a smooth and subtle hint of maple.

90 Proof/45% Alcohol; 7% Maple Syrup

Sapling Maple Rye

Our Sapling Maple Rye is beautifully complex in the combination of the sharp peppery flavor of rye and the smooth sweetness of the pure Grade A Vermont maple syrup. This rye is barrel-aged for two years before blending it with maple syrup. It is then aged for one more year, creating more character. The pairing of maple syrup with rye complements natural maple flavors with contrasting notes spice.

70 Proof/35% Alchohol; 12% Maple Syrup

Sapling Honey Bourbon

Our Sapling Honey Bourbon was inspired by a family tradition of making honey liqueurs. This bourbon is barrel aged in charred American Oak and then blended with locally-sourced raw Vermont honey. Similar to our Sapling Maple Bourbon, we locally source raw Vermont honey, blend it with American bourbon, and age it for three years. It offers a strong bourbon-forward taste with a sweet, fresh and floral honey finish.
